The Pilot Light Foundation is currently working in 5 countries, empowering people to help themselves in the fight against extreme poverty, through cooperatives, micro finance, scholarships, and the general groundwork for a healthy life. Malnutrition is now being made a priority in Guinea. BARAKA, a Pilot Light Foundation sponsored baby food is part of this effort. The pilot program was so successful that a larger organization, Action Against Hunger, is taking it nationwide. Click to read about Guinea's agricultural strategy. I have just returned from a trip to Africa, visiting completed and new PLF projects. Click on each of the photos below to see all trip photos, which includes updates on past projects, progress on all current projects and info on new projects. Each photo you click on will open a new group of photos. How you can help: Host a House Party! It is very simple. Invite your friends to your home for lunch, tea, dinner, dessert, drinks and appetizers, a movie night, whatever you like. In the invitation, let them know that you are asking for a donation of whatever size you are comfortable with in return for the wonderful afternoon or evening you are offering them.
